The internal wrangling wreaking All Progressives’ Congress (APC) in Adamawa has taken a new dimension with supporters of the senator representing Adamawa central zone,  Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani alleging that some disgruntled party members were out to disrupt the party in the state.

An uproar had ensued on Saturday when some party mostly youths chanted ‘’ Bama Yi-Bama Yi ,’’  in an attempt to snub the senator at the party secretariat.

Binani and other APC members at the National Assembly including party chieftains were at the party secretariat for the State Working Committee meeting.

A trending viral video shows some disenchanted youths at the party secretariat shouting ‘’ Bama yi-Bama Yi’,’   rhetorically means  ’ we don’t want; we don’t want!’’

Though inside sources say that the youths were venting their anger over alleged ‘’ undiplomatic approach’’ meted on them by some members of Binani’s team.

Reacting to the uproar that ensued, the Binani  group alleged a sinister move by some party members to scuttle the scheduled  SWC meeting.

Hon. Mauludu Usman, an aide to Senator Binani and also a member of Binani Ambassadors said they were not surprised with the uproar, as according to him, ‘’ Bad elements are out to disrupt APC in Adamawa but God’s willing they will not succeed.

‘’We are fully aware that some disgruntled elements were sponsored initially to disrupt the meeting but all to no avail, because the meeting ended smoothly.

‘’ These youths that were few in numbers, we have their records that they were sponsored by some empty- vessel party members.

‘’ But let me assure you that, the distinguished senator and her amiable team is not rattled at all!

‘’ Despite their attempt to disrupt it, the meeting was observed smoothly,’’ he said.

In the meantime, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Ibrahim Bilal who presided the meeting had asked party chieftains to bury their differences and work towards the unity of purpose.

Bilal was emphatic that with the new entrance of new defectors  which include former governor of the state Mr. Bala James Ngillari, and formidable team, ‘’ APC will bounce back in 2023.’’
