The Enugu State Commissioner for Transportation, Matthias Ekweremadu on Thursday slumped during his visit to the Enugu State House of Assembly complex.
Ekweremadu was rushed to Niger Foundation Hospital by his former colleagues where he was confirmed dead; the cause of his death could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
He represented Aninri Constituency at the Enugu State House of Assembly and in 2019 was appointed Commissioner for Transport 2019.
The late Commissioner is a younger brother to Senator Ike Ekweremmadu, former Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
