CoronavirusNewsNigeriaBREAKING: Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed recovers, discharged after Coronavirus treatment

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has tested negative for Coronavirus and consequently discharged after 14 days in isolation for treatment of the infection.

Governor Mohammed, who addressed reporters after leaving the isolation facility, had earlier posted the news of his negative test results on social media.

He thanked God and all those who stood by him and the State in prayers during his treatment and recovery process.

He is the second Governor to be discharged from Isolation Centre after his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde.

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El Rufai, who was the first Governor to test positive for the virus is still undergoing treatment.

He also appreciated the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as well as religious leaders within and outside the state.

He wrote, “Alhamdulillah. I just received the green light. My second test for #COVID19 returned negative. I thank you all for your prayers & support even while I was in isolation. Most importantly, all the praises & thanks be to Allah – the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. #GreaterBauchi

“My gratitude also goes to our religious leaders within and outside the state for their constant prayers, also our meticulous Bauchi #COVIDー19 team and the NCDC.”
