The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has promised his supporters that he would be making his next move after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

He made this known via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

The Governor while appreciating the show of solidarity shower on him by the goodwill people of Edo people and Nigerians, and promises to make next move after he complete consultation with supporters and President Buhari.

Obaseki tweeted, “I appreciate the sustained show of solidarity, support and goodwill from Edo people and Nigerians in the face of injustice by the @OfficialAPCNg screening committee. I will be making my next move known after I complete consultations with my supporters and meet with @MBuhari.”

The West African Pilot News has reported that the Screening Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress upholds the disqualification of the Edo State Governor from participating in its governorship primary in Edo state.

The National Working Committee of the APC, headed by the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, on Saturday, while receiving the report APC’s Screening Appeal Committee led by Abubakar Fari, said, “It is inconceivable that the same University will award two certificates with separate dates for the same graduate.

“We also find it difficult to vouch for the authenticity of his National Youth Service Corps certificate, there is no indication as to where he served. We find that he should be disqualified.”
