A member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Musa Baraza, is dead.
The West African Pilot News learned that Baraza was shot dead by gunmen on Thursday night at his residence in the Dass Local Government Area.
Baraza represented Dass Constituency in the House of Assembly before his death.
The incident has been confirmed by the Bauchi State Police Command on Friday morning.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakili, confirmed that the assailants also kidnapped his two wives and one-year-old child.
Wakili, however, said a crack team of police personnel have been mobilized to the area to commence an immediate investigation to rescue the victims and nab the perpetrators.
