A perpetrator, Abbati who has contradicted the age of 16 and 19, but raped a five (5) year old in Jimeta, Adamawa state last year has died in the Specialist Hospital Yola. The suspect who is awaiting trial at the Jimeta Remind Home for the offense was said to have fallen sick and admitted at the hospital for medication.
It was learned that the deceased was admitted at the hospital on 29th August 2020 with fever and depression and all necessary tests came out negative eventually died yesterday Thursday.
It could be recalled that the survivor (5yrs girl) was operated 4 times at the Federal Medical Centre FMC Yola, and is recuperating from the injuries.
In another development, Police Corporal serving with the Adamawa State Police Command has been arrested and detained at the Criminal Investigation Department CID headquarters Yola for brutally raping a girl at Sangre Jimeta.
