The immediate past Chief Judge of Kano State High Court, Justice Shehu Atiku, died on Sunday. He had been laid to rest on Monday in Kano.
In a press statement issued on Monday by the Public Relations Officer, Kano High Court, Baba Ibrahi Jibo, confirmed the demise of the former Jurist.
Jibo said that the former CJ died of an undisclosed ailment.
The final Islamic funeral rites were performed on his remains at the Umar Ibn Khattab Mosque, on Monday morning, before his internment in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
