The Nigeria’s land borders that have been closed since August 2019 may be reopened soon.

This indication was given by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, during an interview with State House Correspondents on Wednesday.

The Minister that the presidential committee set up on the matter has completed its job and has recommended the reopening of the borders.

Ahmed disclosed that the committee would soon submit its report to President Muhammadu Buhari, following that, the formal pronouncement would be made to that effect.

However, she declined to give more information as to when the report would be submitted and how soon the land borders would be reopened.
