News2023: ADC Members Set to Decamp to APC in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has consented to a move by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to return back to the party, party officials confirmed.

The  officials of the two parties -ADC and APC, with  hundreds of their supporters in a meeting at the ADC Secretariat in Yola, ” mutually agreed to work together as the only way the people of Adamawa will benefit from the dividends of democracy, ” an ADC official said.

The North East caretaker committee National Vice Chairman of APC, Prof Mamman Tahir on what he described as a ”Unity meeting” had asked  ADC members  to come back to APC, ” APC is your  known identity.”

Tahir who led a delegation of  APC officials under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal said , ” the essence of the meeting is to reconcile with our disenchanted members that left their already built house, APC.

”We need to unite and  rejoin the party to ensure good governance in the state.

”This is your house, so the time is ripe to reunite and form a strong formidable party-APC in Adamawa, so dislodge the incompetent ruling PDP in the state,” he urged.

In his words, “We are going back to consult God in prayers for Him to make it a reality and for the good of Adamawa people to benefit from the dividends of democracy,” Nyako said

Senator Nyako  who represented the people of Adamawa Central Zone from 2015 to 2019 under the APC,  said, ” Everybody knew why many of us defected and pitched tent with another party.”

In his remarks,the ADC party Chairman in the state, Alhaji Yahaya Hammanjolde (Yaya Vice) said , ”the meeting is a fruitful one and will give a very good omen to the people of Adamawa state.

” Present of senior members of the party  like  Mijinyawa Kugama, Attahiru Isiaku Ahmadu, and many others is an attestation of their consent to what APC needs from them but depends on APC to meet their myriad demands and terms of conditions for their decamp.”
