Mr. Young Mori, the Head of Operations of the Adamawa State Hunters Association, was feared killed in a gun battle with bandits in Kaduna, family and security sources have said.
Mori was among few gallant hunters being engaged in assisting security operatives in fighting bandits and other criminals in some parts of northern states.
Salihu Buba Wobkenso, head of administration, Hunters Association confirmed that Young Mori was killed in Kaduna stating that, ‘’ this is sad news to hunters. Young Mori, one of our hunter messier in Adamawa state from Guyuk LGA has been overpowered by cattle rustlers in Kaduna state this early hour of today 29th December 2020.’’
Wobkenso, who could not give details of the incident said that with this sad news hunters in the state were thrown into mourning and agony, ‘’ It’s unfortunate that we lost one of our gallant members. May his soul rest in perfect peace.’’

To Lunguda speaking communities Young Mori was seen as a hero that will be remembered for the sacrifice and selfless service he rendered.
So, no wonder when the sad news filtered in an atmosphere of despair and agony residents were seen on Tuesday were mourning face.
‘’The gallant General Young Mori has answered the home call, though you have gone by the will of God your spirit is still with us. Rest Well Zwalka Nungurau,’’ said Johnson Gwadamdi.
‘’Yes we are grief with the sad news and we can only pray for him to rest well, may God comfort the entire Lunguda land and people.
‘’ You have said it yourself that there are young Lunguda youths that are better than you even when you are gone and most of all God is the protector and refuge of Lunguda land and people. The world’s a stage, you have played your part and left the stage,’’ Stephen Gyand recalls.
