Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has expressed satisfaction with the performance of Police in the state in the preceding year under the leadership of Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adeyanju over the reduction of crime rates in the state.

The governor made the remark that the end of the year and send forth party in honor of the Commissioner of Police and some gallant officers and men of the command.
Fintiri who was represented by his deputy, Chief Crowther Seth noted that on the assumption of office about a year ago, AIG Adeyanju met a state grappling with serious insecurity challenges.

“The Commissioner of Police who hit the ground running, however, proved his mettle and immediately started combating the menace, including fighting the dreaded Shilla boys, kidnappers and armed robbers in the state resulting in da drastic reduction of criminality in the society.

“The AIG has brought a lot of innovations in combating crimes in the society which yielded high premiums.

“Maintain the tempo so that the state and the country will be rid of the menace of insecurity which has become Nigeria’s nightmare”. He said.

The governor who congratulated the CP over his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police described the promotion as well deserved.
In his speech, AIG Olugbenga Adeyanju lauded the state government for the immense support and cooperation it accorded him resulting in the successes achieved.

He also thanked stakeholders and the people of the state for their spiritedness and support which made it possible to achieve the feat.
