The Emir of Karaye Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II has conferred Alhaji Saleh Musa Saleh Kwankwaso (Baba) with the title of Makama of Karaye and District Head of Madobi.

He is also appointed as a member of Karaye emirate council and Kingmaker of Karaye Kingdom.

A statement signed by Information Officer Karaye emirate council,  Haruna Gunduwawa, said the appointment was recommended and approved at this year’s first meeting of the Karaye emirate council held on Wednesday.

It said the meeting also applauded his Highness for his foresight and honouring the family of late Makama of Karaye.

‘’While congratulating the new Makama, he enjoined him to continue from where his late father stopped. Adding that, late Musa Saleh Kwankwaso was a complete gentleman, loyal, just, and peace lover, and a committed leader to the course of his people. ‘’

Alhaji Saleh Musa Saleh Kwankwaso ( Baba) who is the younger brother of former Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso inherited his Late father Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso who died recently.

‘’A national Diploma holder in building engineering Alhaji  Saleh Musa Kwankwaso was born in 1964 and until his appointment, he was the Village Head of Kwankwaso in Madobi local government area.

‘’The new Makama of Karaye has been representing his Late father in Royal activities including in the Karaye Emir’s palace for over twenty years.’’

‘’The formal installation of the new Makama of Karaye would follow the blessings and approval of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to that effect. ‘’
