Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has restated government commitment to boost the revenue base of the state.

The Governor gave the assurance at the official commissioning of the hospitality centre, “Fombina Ambassadors Suites and Apartments” along Army Barracks Road in Jimeta-Yola.

Fombina Ambassadors Suites and Apartments is owned by Adamawa businessman and politician, Barr. Aliyu Wakili Boya.

“Government will continue to create an enabling environment for business to thrive; the edifice equipped with modern facilities will change the narrative of the hospitality industry in Adamawa, known as the land of beauty.

“The initiative will reduce unemployment and as well, enhance the government revenue base”, he said.

Represented by his Deputy, Chief Crowther Seth, the Governor said the remarkable investment came at a better time, when the state government has continued to evolve various means aimed at increasing internally generated revenue of Adamawa.

The proprietor of the centre, Barrister Aliyu Wakili Boya said the structure was born out of his desire to contribute his quota to the socio-economic and political development of the state.

He said the centre has 72 rooms facility, comprises furnished and lavishly finished rooms ranging from standard to deluxe, and royal to presidential option among others.
