The Katsina Emirate Council has announced the sacking of the District Head of Kankara LGA also known as Sarkin Pawa, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal for aiding and abetting banditry activities in his domain.

The District Head, who was suspended last month, April 30, 2021, was found guilty of all the charges levied against him by the committee set-up to look into the issue.

The spokesman of the Katsina Emirate, Sarkin Labarai, Alh. Ibrahim Iro Bindawa reportedly that the Emir of Katsina, Alh. Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman ordered the sacking of the district head.

The sack was officially announced on Friday after the Emirate received a letter from the Katsina State Government which equally found him culpable of all the allegations levelled against him.

Security agents and other relevant stakeholders within Kankara LGA were reported to have testified against the Sarkin Pawa for indulging in banditry activities.
