Following a video clip that went viral in which the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) youth leader Hong Local Government chapter in Adamawa Alhaji Ikamu Aminu made some uncomplimentary remarks on the person of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Barr Boss Gida Mustapha, the party has now suspended him.
In the video clip, the Youth leader Alhaji Ikamu Aminu had accused the SGF of high hardness in his affairs, alleging that nobody ever benefited from him in the local government.
Usman Inuwa Waganda, Chairman PDP Hong local government who announced the suspension in another video while reacting to the utterances, condemned behaviour exhibited by the suspended youth leader.
Waganda explained that it was not in the character of PDP to rain abuses on leaders irrespective of their political affiliation and the party had dissociated itself from all the allegations.
“The position of the PDP Hong local government is that we suspend him from the party with immediate effect and he ceases to be Youth leader of the party in the local government.”
“He is not the spokesman of the PDP in the local government and the leadership of the PDP has dissociated itself from all the allegations made against the SGF, he (Ikamu) acted based on his personal conviction and we condemned in strong terms such unruly behaviour.”
“We as a party (PDP) will continue to accord respect to whoever is in leadership regardless of his party affiliation, Boss Mustapha is a leader, and we will not disrespect him.”
“Boss Mustapha has never had any squabbles with PDP and is always quick to sympathize with people in the area whenever calamity befalls on them. There is cordial relationship between Boss Mustapha and PDP and also Adamawa state Governor His Excellency Ahmadu Umaru Finitiri,” he added.
In the video clip released earlier, Alhaji Ikamu Aminu had accused the SGF for high hardness in his affairs, alleging that nobody ever benefited from him in the local government.
“About 20 people were killed in Dabna, people deserted the community, you (SGF) did not sympathize with them, it is only now you came with a helicopter hovering over houses in Hong, people got scared.”
“We don’t want anything from you, we don’t love you and anybody that associates with you, you prevent people from seeing you, and soldiers are beating a person that comes to your house like donkeys.” He alleged.
