GUSAU — One of the three bandit informants recently arrested by security operatives in Zamfara State over the insecurity in Dansadau Emirate of the state has reportedly set himself ablaze.

Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau Dawache Kazo representing Maru South in the state Assembly told newsmen in Gusau that based on the reliable information gathered, the informant who is a close ally of the suspended Emir of Dansadau decided to set himself ablaze to avoid releasing information that may be injurious to the Emir.

“The other two suspects had already mentioned over 30 other informants who are directly involved in aiding armed bandits activities and are currently being tracked by the security operatives.”

“The bandits had already sent messages that unless the Emir is released from the security agencies, there would be no peace in Dansadau emirate,” he added.

He maintained that the crises in the Dansadau axis had worsened because of the activities of the informants who are known among most people of the area, explained that the area is still not accessible because of the unending terror attacks by the armed bandits.

The lawmaker added that Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle is making a concerted effort to make sure that peace is restored in Dansadau area and its environs.
