YOLA — The Operatives of Adamawa state Police Command attached to SIB have smashed a syndicate of fourteen notorious Kidnappers terrorising innocent citizens.

According to a press release by the command spokesman DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje the Suspects were all arrested at their various hideouts following credible information from a reliable source.

Items recovered from the suspects include 19 Handsets, and 22 Sim cards.

The statement added that the Commissioner of Police called on members of the public to continue giving credible information regarding any person of suspicious character around their neighbourhood to police.

The statement read in part: “Investigation led to the recovery of 18 handsets with 23 sim cards of different networks.”

“The Suspects had confessed during interrogation of kidnapping Alhaji Sale Idi of Farang in Fufore LGA, Ya’u Adamu of Ganye town and Jones Hayatu of Kojoli Village, Jada Local Government Areas respectively and collected huge amount of money as ransom.”

“The suspects include Sanda Buba, 33years old and resident of Bausman village, Chigari in Fufore LGA, Aliyu Abubakar, 34years old, resident of Yolde Pate, Yola south LGA, Ashiru Sarkin Yamma, 25years a resident of no fixed address, Tukur Hammadu, 35years old and a resident of Yolde Pate, Yola south, Abdul Isa, 35years old and hailed from samunaka in Yola South LGA, Idris Musa, 27years, resident of Malabu, Fufore LGA and Samaila Garba, 25years a resident of Bunga, Malabu district, Fufore LGA.

“ Others are Mumini Idirisu, 25years a resident of Bunga, Malabu district, Fufore LGA, Abubakar Yau, 30years a resident of Sabongari, Jada LGA, Adamu Hussein, 25years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village,Jada LGA, Martins Haruna, 24years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA, Shehu Abubakar, 30years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA, Bamanga Ali, 30years a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA and Nuvalga Musa, 33years, a resident of Budzu, Kojoli Village, Jada LGA.”

“On the strength of that, the Commissioner of Police *CP ALIYU ADAMU ALHAJI,psc* , commended the officer in charge of SIB and his men for making it difficult for such criminals to escape arrest.”

The statement further said the Police Boss has directed for discreet investigation into the matter, and assured that the suspects will be prosecuted accordingly.
