To ensure quality standard of work, the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) Yola will engaged consultants, technical officers, and contractors in the 21 local governments’ areas to implement a new specification on construction, rehabilitation, and supply of furniture to schools.
Dr. Salihu Ateequ, Executive Chairman of the board, stated this during a meeting with the consultants, technical officers and contractors, said the measure will build capacity towards improving the quality of projects being executed in public schools.
Ateequ encouraged the consultants, technical officers, and contractors from the twenty-one local governments to complement Government effort by being fair and just in executing their projects.
“The Universal Basic Education Commission and the Boards 2019 matching grants new specification on construction rehabilitation and supply of furniture, the board is doing its best to incorporate new constructions material and designs for projects in schools,” he said.
He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for according education top priority, maintained that this progress would not have been possible without government commitment in offsetting the counterpart funding and accessing grants by the board.
