LAGOS — Since the painful death of the late Sylvester Oromoni- a 12-year-old Dowen college student who died from the injuries incurred from an alleged bully in school, rage has filled Nigerians and celebrities as they voice their outrage concerning the incident, demanding answers and action from both the school authority and the Lagos State Government, respectively.
Nollywood Actress, Kate Henshaw who had no post in relation to the issue in the heat of the moment was tagged and called-out by some Nigerians who felt “disappointed in her” in their words for her silence on Sylvester’s death.
After the actress became aware of the ongoing anger towards her as a result of her (“social media”) silence, she speared no one in her rebuke in a video she released on the 4th of December, 2021 which was also late Sylvester Oromoni’s posthumous 12th birthday.
She recalled an incident of a 12-year-old female student who died as a result of an infection caused by a used condom found inside her. She also cited the case of Don Davis, a student of Deeper Life High School who was allegedly molested in school and the case of a sexual predator she brought to book after so much effort and threats. She questioned the whereabouts of these “clout chasers” as she called them when the above incidents happened.
She further affirmed that electing the right people, proper policies and consistent call-outs is the way forward, not selective call-outs.

Meanwhile, different celebrities and people in power such as Mercy Johnson, Kanayo O. Kanyo, Governor Okowa, and others demand immediate justice from the Lagos State Government.
