ENUGU — The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, has commissioned key intervention projects duly completed by the Division in Abakpa Cantonment Enugu.

Neurosciences and Wellness Center commisioned at the 82 Division-Enugu-March-9-2022The intervention projects include a Neuroscience and Wellness Centre, Specialist Outpatient Department/Urology Clinic, and Nursing Station at 82 Division Medical Services and Hospital.

Also, the Soldiers’ club was remodeled and accommodation for soldiers on transit constructed; the club will provide a conducive environment for soldiers and their families to rest after a busy day and the transit accommodation is meant to alleviate accommodation challenges soldiers face while on transit.

Speaking during the commissioning, the GOC revealed that the welfare of troops remains his top-notch priority.

Gen Lagbaja also commended the Commander 82 Division Hospital for ensuring the projects were completed in good time;

“These projects will greatly boost the capacity of the hospital to address the health needs of the Abakpa Cantonment and neighboring communities,” GOC said.

He then charged the officers and beneficiaries of the various projects to ensure constant maintenance for maximum use.
