Taraba state government has pledged to assist casualties of the recent bomb attack which occurred in Iware community of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that an explosion had occurred at a beer parlour in Iware town of Ardo Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State on Tuesday at a cattle market killing at least seven people and injuring 19 others.

Bala Dan Abu, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of Taraba State in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday said the government will assist those injured and are receiving treatment in hospitals.

Ishaku also urged Tarabans to be always vigilant and to report strange visitors to their communities promptly.

The Governor who condemned the act described it as “barbaric, wicked and an act of unprovoked aggression against innocent people”.

The statement read in part: “Security agencies should go after the perpetrators of this heinous crime and should try and make them pay for their sins.”
