OWERRI — Tuesday, April 19, 2022, was all about Nollywood diva, Rita Dominic, and her beau, the publisher of Daily Times, Fidelis Anosike, as they shut down Imo State for their traditional wedding ceremony.

The ceremony which took place in her hometown, Aboh, Mbaise, in Imo State had many of Rita’s friends and colleagues in Nollywood grace the occasion in stunning outfits.

The event looked like a huge Nollywood reunion party with radiant faces, and feel-good photos and videos from the ceremony were scattered all over social media.

Just like an object dropped in a settled bowl of water, Rita’s glamorous wedding has generated different waves.

The West African Pilot News has culled the trending matters after the talk-of-the-town ceremony. 

Rita Dominic’s Outfit

Rita Dominic looked all radiant and beautiful on her special day and fans couldn’t help but gush.

The actress left many drooling over her first traditional wedding outfit.

The gorgeous bride was every word breathtaking in a blue off-shoulder mini dress, featuring bead-embellished mesh straps and a matching corset.

She also wore coral head and neck beads, matching drop earrings and waist beads that sat comfortably around the corset, silver slippers and ankle beads that tied the look together.

The Nollywood beauty also carried a horsetail which is typical of every Igbo bride.

For her second outfit, for the wedding reception at Landmark Event Centre, Owerri, Rita was adorned in a form-fitting orange and white, embroidered hand-beaded coral cold shoulder dress.

The actress looked breathtakingly beautiful as she posed for photographs.

 

Celebrities’ High Sense Of Fashion

Glitz, glamour, and enchanting are a few words that accurately describe the traditional wedding.

If there is anything Nigerians learned from the wedding pictures that went viral on social media, it would certainly be: that Nigerian celebrities sure know how to turn up.

Nollywood family showed up for Rita Dominic and Fidelis Anosike’s traditional marriage in Owerri, Imo State.

And by ‘turn up’, we mean the gorgeous, jaw-dropping, and beautiful outfits that left fans excited. From design elements like corsets to sequins, one couldn’t help but wonder if the celebrities were wedding guests or supermodels straight off a runway show.

Indeed, the Nollywood stars’ choice of style at the occasion didn’t fail to grab social media attention. Among the trending styles were that of Ini Edo, Ronke Tiamiyu, Medlin Boss, Uche Elendu, Tana Adelana, and skit maker, Steve Chuks.

 

Absence Of Ace Nollywood Stars

The glamorous occasion was graced by the creme de la creme of the acting industry and reality stars.

Among those who graced the event in their lovely green attire include Chidi Mokeme, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Chioma Akpotha, Joke Silva, Hilda Dokubo, Ini Edo, Ebube Nwagbo, Eve Ezin, Uche Jombo, Tana Adelana, Uche Elendu, Lilian Afegbai, Onyi Alex, celebrity stylist, Medlin Boss, reality stars, Beverly Osu, Ike Onyema, Uti Nwachukwu and Mercy Eke, and a host of others.

West African Pilot News, however, noticed that some top Nollywood celebrities were absent at the event, notably Genevieve Nnaji, Mercy Johnson Chika Ike, Kate Henshaw, Stella Damasus, Tonto Dikeh, Funke Akindele-Bello, Destiny Etiko, and Omotola Jalade.

However, some of them repped the bride on their Instagram stories and congratulated her.

 

Fidelis Anosike’s Entrance Dance Steps

Daily Times publisher, Fidelis Anosike showed off some impressive dance moves as he made an entrance with his people that have received attention on social media.

The groom, who was excited, was seen in a video showing some dance steps as he and his people arrived in Imo state for the marriage ceremony.

From Fidelis’ dance steps, it was obvious that the group meant business: taking his bride.

The video has sparked reactions on social media, with many Nigerians hailing the popular publisher for being the lucky man.
