Following the recent attacks on several communities in the Gassol local government area of Taraba state in which over 16 persons were sliced to death by bandits, the State Government has ordered free treatment for victims of a terrorist attack on the state on Friday.

Also, during the attack, many villagers sustained various gun injuries while others were believed to have been abducted.

Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku, on Monday, announced the free treatment for the victims during his visit to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jalingo, where the victims are currently receiving medical treatment.

Represented by his Deputy, Haruna Manu, the Governor said the state government has ordered the evacuation of all the victims from the council’s hospitals to Jalingo.

He urged the people of the state to remain vigilant, as the state government is determined to collaborate with the security agencies to track down the bandits.
