Burna Boy’s first single from his sixth studio album, Love, Damini, has become the longest-running number one track on the Afrobeats chart in the United Kingdom (UK).

This is according to data from the Official Charts Company.

Last emerged as the longest-running number-one track from the past 12 months as well as the longest-running number-one track ever recorded by the chart, with 13 consecutive weeks on top.

Burna Boy is also the artist that has appeared the most times in the UK’s Official Afrobeats Chart over the past 12 months while fast-rising Nigerian singer, Asake, and NSG, a British musical group, ranked second and third respectively.

However, the best-performing track based on streams and sales in the UK over the past 12 months was Fireboy DML’s remix of Peru which featured Ed Sheeran.
