Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, says the All Progressive Congress (APC) will be defeated in 2023.

Bwala, while reacting to the massive turnout of Peter Obi’s supporters for a rally in Lagos State on Saturday, said APC is losing its influence.

Supporters of Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, held a rally in Lagos on 1 October and marched through the streets with flags and posters to drum support for Obi.

Bwala said the rally shows that Obi will split the votes of Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of APC, for Atiku to win the next presidential election.

“They kept saying @PeterObi would steal @OfficialPDPNig votes until they saw the Obidient Lagos rally, then they realized Pitobi is on a mission to plunder Emilokan’s southwest votes. Obi’s voters are all over the southwest, cities, towns and villages,” he tweeted.

He also said the outcome of the Kaduna rally for Obi shows the decline of the ruling party despite Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s  boast that the rally would flop in Kaduna.

“The crowd at Peter Obi’s rally in Kaduna despite El-Rufai’s statement suggests the decline of APC in that state,” Bwala’s tweet read.

“This is even Labour, not PDP; Obi, not Atiku. The electronic act amendment has de-mystified governors. If APC’s victory in 2015 does not humble them, their defeat in 2023 would humiliate them.”
