After weeks of intrigues, the seventh edition of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show came to an end on Sunday with Phyna emerging as the winner.
This year’s edition, tagged ‘Level Up’, premiered on 23 and 24 July 2022, and a total of 28 housemates, including two fake housemates and two riders, participated in the show, which ran for 72 days.
Phyna beat other finalists: Adekunle, Daniella, Chichi, Bella and Bryann to clinch the coveted grand prize of N100 million—a cash prize of N50m and N50m worth of prizes from the show’s sponsors.
Bryann emerged as the first runner-up for the ‘Level Up’ edition of the BBNaija.
The grand finale yesterday featured performances from top Nigerian musicians, including MI Abaga, Falz and Pheelz.
Phyna, born Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, becomes the second ever female winner to emerge the winner of the reality TV show. The first was Mercy Eke who won the season four ‘Pepper Dem’ edition in 2019.
Phyna is a 25-year-old content creator, actress, and brand influencer from Edo State.
