The All Progressives Grand Alliance – APGA, has expressed condolences to the family of the foremost nationalist and first Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, who died on November 1, 2022 at the age 93 years old.
In a press statement made available to journalists, the APGA National Publicity Secretary described the death of Chief Amaechi as a national loss, given the enormous experience and value he amassed over the years from the Nigeria’s pre-independence era, and through the many years of the nation’s walk towards nationhood and development.
Speaking, the APGA National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Tex Okechukwu, said that APGA felt deeply touched by the death of the last of the “Titans that laboured tirelessly for the independence of our fatherland”. Although the APGA image maker thanked God for the fulfilled life led by the deceased and urged his children to follow his footsteps, he regretted that there is no end to what the nation stands to gain from a legend like Chief Amaechi.
Chief Mbazulike Amaechi joined the nationalist movement at an early age of 18 years in Onitsha where he then lived with his guardians. He is a native of Ukpor, in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Similarly, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo through his Chief Press Secretary, has condoled with the family of Chief Mbazulike Amaechi.
