The Adamawa State Jail Delivery Committee has sentenced a middle age man, Nafiu Sabe to 6 months imprisonment for stealing 6 cartons of Maltina drinks in Yola, the state capital.
The conviction followed voluntarily confession to the crime which he was arrested and remanded.
The Committee headed by the Adamawa State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Hapsat Abdulrahaman sentenced the accused when it visited Jimeta correctional center where the accused was awaiting trial.
The convict, Nafiu had earlier told the committee that he committed the crime in August, 2023 at the Jimeta Ultra-Modern Market, and had showed remorse for his action.
He then pleaded for leniency and promised not to steal again.
