A fire inferno has razed down 150 rooms in 50 houses as well as domestic animals and foodstuff worth millions of naira in Wuro-Korka’e village of Fufore local government area, of Adamawa State.

One of the residents of the village, Abubakar Mohammed stated that the inferno emanated from one of the households and spread quickly to other houses due to a heavy windstorm experienced in the area on the faithful day.

According to him, no lives were lost, but victims are currently taking shelter in temporary thatched camps they erected.

Meanwhile, the State Chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Jao’ji Isa who sympathized with the community over the unfortunate incident described it as a calamity.

Ja’oji Isa who was represented by his Vice, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi called on the victims to regard the incident as an act of Allah and prayed that such incident would not occur again in the community and elsewhere.

The association Chairman tasked people to handle fire with caution, particularly during this period.

Also in his remarks, the state Director of the organization Mallam Musa Usman Ardo called on the government, politicians, and other philanthropists to assist the victims, describing their condition as pathetic considering the magnitude of loss they incurred in the disaster.

During the visit, the MACBAN donated assorted foodstuff and mats to the victims who now sleep in an open space.
