The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed operational and manpower assets to hurt kidnappers who abducted Pastor Ishaku D Chiwar and Reverend James Kwayam of EYN church Billa Malabu in Fufore local government area of the state in the early hours of December 30th, 2024.
A statement signed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje said efforts are being made to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
Nguroje, while condemning the act, said the unprovoked kidnapping of religious leaders is unacceptable as they are critical Stakeholders in policing service.
The Police image maker appealed for calm and sought the support and cooperation of the general public in its quest to protect lives and property.
The statement reads in part: “The incident occurred at Billa Malabu, in Fufore local government area, where the kidnappers targeted the house of the victims situated at Hayin Gada, Billa village, Malabu district, Fufore local government area and kidnapped them.
“The kidnappers, who were armed with offensive weapons, invaded the victim’s houses around 2:00 am and whisked them away.
“The progressive efforts of the command will bring the perpetrators and other persons involved to justice, emphasizing the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and resisting all forms of violent crimes in the state.
