Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has condoled Katagum Emirate Council and the family of late Ali Kwara over the death of the famous hunter and private security expert.
The Governor in a statement through his media aide Muktar Gidado said Bala Mohammed paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruk at his palace shortly after participating at the funeral prayer of the deceased.
The statement quoted the Governor as saying that the late Ali Kwara was someone who made some landmark achievements in the fight against criminal activities not only in Nigeria, but across the globe.
He said the late famous hunter was well known for assisting security agencies in apprehending kidnappers and cars’ snatchers and arm robbers.
“We came to the Katagum Emirate Council to convey the condolences of the Government and people of Bauchi state over the loss of one of our illustrious sons of the state, Alhaji Ali Kwara. We believed this man deserved all the respect and honour and he has made us proud as a state.”
“We have to show our grief and sadness over this loss, it is not the amount of money you will leave behind, but the way and manner you give support and make a society better”, the statement quoted Governor Bala as saying.
Governor Bala Mohammed said the late Ali Kwara was instrumental in fighting crimes during his tenure as Minister of the FCT.
Responding, the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruk thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for participating fully in the funeral prayer of the deceased and extended his council’s condolences to the government and people of the state over the death.
The famous hunter left behind one wife and four children; Muhammad, Nadiya, Nasir and Abdulganiyu and he has since been buried in Azare according to Islamic rites.
