CoronavirusNewsNigeriaBREAKING: Bauchi Gov Tests Negative, Set to Leave Isolation Centre

Bauchi State governor Bala Mohammed has tested negative of the coronavirus following a second examination at the National Centre for Disease Control, multiple sources disclosed.

“Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman (Executive Chairman, Primary Health Care Development Agency) came back this evening from Abuja with the result of the second tests, and it has shown negative.

“He will leave the isolation centre very soon, but just wait for the details”, one of the sources who pleaded for anonymity has said.

The sources also confided in this medium that Mohammed is likely to address the press on Sunday.

“The government house is beginning to turn into a bee-hive of activities, his close allies are beginning to visit the government house, and they are eager to see the governor” another source added.

It could be recalled that the governor had disclosed that he had gone on self-isolation following contact with the son of Atiku Abubakar.

Two close contacts of the governor had also been tested positive for the virus.

A credible source at the state government house also said that the governor has substantially recovered from the disease, adding that the governor would be discharged from the Isolation facility at the government house.
