The lockdown in Nigeria as a result of the coronavirus pandemic has made many well-meaning Nigerians give back to the society they belong too.

This act of kindness did not leave the Nigerian celebrities behind as many of them have it in mind that there is little the present government can do in bringing food to the table of the common man during this lockdown.

This is a difficult period for both the government and the people as the coronavirus knew no boundary or class.

Thus, some celebrities have started sending cash to the needy among their fans for them to stock up foodstuffs in their respective homes.

They asked them to drop their account number on their social media handles and pick randomly while some fans come back and show appreciation on their timeline.

While some fans have called out other celebrities to also give out cash, here is the list of eight celebrities that have given out cash to their fans.

Toyin Abraham 

This is one of the celebrities that some Nigerians have labeled as a hero as a result of his approach to giving to the fewer privileges in Nigeria during this lockdown.

She took a unique approach that is different from other celebrities by ensuring and coordinating the distribution of food items and hand sanitizers across to the people at the grassroots level and orphanage homes in some states

She has been seen donating to people in Lagos, Ogun, Kwara, and some other states.

Runtown

This is another celebrity that had shown great support for Nigerians during the lockdown hardship.

The SoundGod took to his twitter and confirmed that many Nigerians will need money to stock up food to comply with a stay at the home directive of the government.

He, therefore, launched a giveaway of a whooping sum of 10 million Naira via his Twitter handle.

From the beneficiaries that had shown gratitude, it was observed that the least individuals had gotten is 10,000.

Ini Edo

Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, in celebration of her birthday and showing gratitude for the grace she has enjoyed from God had also contributed to lifting people in this lockdown.

She announced a 300,000 cash giveaway for her fans as she asked them to drop their account numbers and she picked randomly.

According to her, the giveaway will go to 30 people at 10,000 per person. This is kudos to the Nigerians celebrities. Others might follow suits.

Peruzzi

Tobechukwu Victor Okoh popularly known by his stage name as Peruzzi is one of the popular Nigerian celebrities that have been active during this coronavirus lockdown.

The DMW star had taken to his twitter to do some give cash giveaways. He, however, did not mention the actual amount he budgeted for the giveaway.

The award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter, stage performer, and recording artist had the promise to do more for his fans in the lockdown.

Yemi Alade

Yemi Eberechi Alade, popularly known as Yemi Alade had also made attempt to stand by the African people and the Nigerian people in particular in this coronavirus lockdown.

The Afropop singer and songwriter that is nicknamed Mama Africa had called out the Nigerian government for not having plans to make life comfortable for Nigerians in this lockdown.

She then asked Nigerians to drop their account numbers on her timeline so that she can render little assistance to some. She also picked randomly.

Don Jazzy

Giving back to the music lovers on social media is one of the things the Mavin’s Record Boss is known for. Therefore, he had not stopped being who he is in this period that people need such a gesture.

Don Jazzy is among the many celebrities that have taken to their social media to educate the people on safety methods against coronavirus as well as helping people financially.

DJ Kaywise

DJ Kaywise is one of Nigerian most celebrated Disc Jockey, he had also contributed by launching a free data giveaway.

Data is one of the basic amenities in this contemporary age. People need data to access the latest information as well as entertainment content.

DJ Kaywise is on point with this kind of gesture for Nigerians in this lockdown.
