The Adamawa state police command says it has so far arrested 32 suspects for alleged involvement in the communal clash that erupted between Lunguda and Waja communities in Guyuk local government area of Adamawa.

The Police spokesman in the state  DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje confirmed the arrest Wednesday saying that,” so far 32 suspects from both sides of the warring communities were arrested and will be thoroughly investigated.”
Nguroje explained that many houses and other valuables were destroyed by the perpetrators of the attack forcing occupants of the affected areas to scamper for safety elsewhere.
Nguroje who said the situation was brought under control, however, revealed that security personnel have been deployed to the areas including DSS, Police, and the Military to douse the tension.
According to him,” we are yet to establish a figure of fatality traceable to the incident,” as at the time of filing this report he however assured that investigation is ongoing to unravel the cause of the incident and make more arrests of the perpetrators.
So far the villages affected include Boshikiri and Zakawon all in Guyuk local government as well as  Mamsirme, and Tarakra in Lafiya Lamurde Local Government.
