NewsNigeriaAtiku’s Ally, EX- Adamawa APP Guber Candidate, Adamu Modibbo Passes on in Yola

An Adamawa foremost political associate of ex-vice-president Atiku Abubakar and former gubernatorial candidate of All Peoples Party (APP) in Adamawa, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu Modibbo is dead.

The businessman cum politician according to a close associate was born in 1957.

The source said the politician died Sunday at about 4:00pm in Yola at Adamawa/German hospital after a brief illness.

“Before he was taken to hospital, he told us that he was taking malaria and typhoid treatment.

“But when the fever gets higher, we took him to a hospital were he was referred to the German hospital.

“He recorded tremendous improvement yesterday and even took a stroll outside the hospital from the VIP 3 ward were he was admitted.

“But he died today at about 4:00pm possibly from heart failure,” the source said.

Also corroborating in a statement,a relative, Mallam Abdullahi Njidda Damare confirmed it, saying: ” I regret to announce the death of Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.

“Until his death late Alhaji Adamu Modibbo, is one time gubernatorial aspirant in Adamawa State, under the platform APP and PDP.

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” it stated.

Modibbo left behind two wives and many children.

Alh Adamu Muazu Modibbo was the General Manager, Rico Gado Nigeria, Former MD First Bank, Former DG of Pencom Limited and Former three times gubernatorial aspirant and candidate.

Details of his burial arrangement were not yet released by the family.
