Finally, Interpol has succeeded in extraditing the former boss of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT) Abdulrasheed Maina to Nigeria.

Maina was said to have escaped to the Republic of Niger as his hiding place but nemesis caught up with him finally on Thursday, December 3, when he was brought back to his country to face justice ,

Reports say that the extradition of Maina was done by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) confirmed by the Nigerian Police Force.

According to the NPF, Maina was brought into the country aboard an NPF Jet 5N-HAR and landed at Abuja on Thursday.

The efforts of Interpol that led to the arrest and extradition of the embattled former Nigerian public servant was applauded by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) M.A Adamu.

IGP Adamu also noted that necessary legal actions will follow immediately against Maina.
