Adamawa State government is building new 60-bed capacity Cottage Hospitals in Lamurde, Gombi, Shelleng, and Girei, besides the upgrading of facilities in Mubi, Ganye, and Numan General Hospitals.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri disclosed this while flagging off upgrading work on Ganye and Numan General Hospitals, said one of the cardinal objectives of his administration is to change the negative narrative of Health Care service delivery in the State through the recruitment of frontline Health Personnel to man the Health facilities.

“As part of the efforts of this administration to strengthen health service delivery, the need to upgrade our General Hospitals cannot be overemphasized. We are expanding and improving the capacity of hospitals to meet their mandate of delivering secondary Health care services.

“This is a crucial step that will actualize our promise of improving health service delivery across the Adamawa state in line with our 11-points agenda.

“This administration will continue to invest in the health sector as we strive towards achieving optimal quality of health care in Adamawa State while also advancing gradually towards Universal Health Coverage”. He said.

Fintiri saluted non-governmental organizations for complementing the efforts of the Government towards improving Health service delivery in Adamawa State.
