Mr. Gershon Kasuwa, chairman of Mayo Belwa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, and other stakeholders have expressed satisfaction with the representation of Sen. Binos Dauda Yaroe, the senator representing Adamawa south senatorial zone.

In his remarks during a town hall meeting organized by the senator in Mayo Belwa Local Government, the stakeholders said their lives have been positively transformed by the senator’s Midas touch and quality representation.

Speaking earlier,  the chairman of Mayo Belwa local government, Gershon Kasuwa said ” we are  happy to be part of the town hall meeting which is the first of its kind in the history of the local government.”

He noted that they were satisfied with the performance of the senator noting that with such excellent stewardship, ” we have no alternative other than to give you all the necessary cooperation to do more for the people.

“We are really happy that the senator thought it wise to address us. We are convinced with what he said and we are praying God to give him the strength to continue.

“We also appeal to him to complete all the projects. As the chairman, I will remain behind him and give him all the support he needed in the course of discharging his duties,” Kasuwa promised.

Also corroborating, the member representing Nassarawo Binyeri constituency in Adamawa State house of assembly, Umar Nashon Gubi poured encomiums on the senator, adding that the town hall meeting was the first of its kind in the area since the return of democracy in 1999.

“This is a welcome idea, no senator has convened a town hall meeting in our area since the return of democracy in 1999. People give you mandates and it is good you give them updates of your stewardship,” he said.

Nashon Gubi who charged the senator to carry along party officials in his strides said despite doing a great job and providing good representation, the party executives are not so much abreast of the landmark achievements he has brought to them.

Earlier in his presentation, the senator who took time to regale the constituents with his scorecard said his major priorities are provision of water, medical support and education development.

The senator promised to ensure availing all the 9 local governments in the senatorial zone with motorized boreholes before the end of his tenure.

Yaroe noted that since his election, he has conducted three town hall meetings in order to keep his constituents abreast of his actions and to also get feedback from them.

The senator while explaining the core duties of a legislature, especially a senator, told the crowd that project execution is an exclusive preserve of the executive arm but noted that the legislatures are provided the opportunity to carry out some token projects through the instrumentality of capital projects.

He noted that since his assumption he has carried out 5 water projects in three local governments, of Jada, Demsa, and Numan adding that he used his personal resources to construct two motorized boreholes out of the lot.

Yaroe added that he has so far sponsored a bill for the establishment of a college of forestry in Toungo, school of mines and geological studies, Guyuk and federal university of education Numan adding that the bills are at various stages of execution in the senate.

He also told the constituents that he supported the senator representing Adamawa central senatorial zone, Aishatu Dahiru Binani leading to the conversion of Modibbo Adama University of Technology to a conventional university for the benefit of the teeming youths and students of the area among many interventions.

He noted that the medical interventions he brought in Demsa, Ganye and Guyuk local governments of the state have impacted thousands of indigent patients including a youth whose sight was restored after decades of blindness, removal of hernia from an aged patient who has been struggling with the disease for decades and many other feats.
