Fifty passengers have again been abducted by armed bandits in Niger State.

In a related development, some armed bandits have also kidnapped unknown number of villagers at Gidigori village of Rafi Local Government Council burning some cars as well as carted away some valuables.

A senior government official who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident to Radio Nigeria.

According to the official, one person has also been killed and several others kidnapped when bandits stormed Manta village in Shiroro local government council of Niger state

They were also said to have ransacked some houses in the village and went away with foodstuff and other valuables.
