Pop superstar, Rihanna launched her iconic beauty line, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skincare brand in Nigeria and seven other African countries on Friday.

The Barbadian singer, who recently welcomed her first child had earlier announced that her skincare products will launch in Africa on May 27, 2022.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment!! @fentybeauty and @fentyskin are finally dropping in AFRICA!!!

“Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe. We coming at you on May 27th and that’s just the beginning!!! #FentyAfrica,” she had tweeted on May 11.

In Nigeria, the brand hosted the official launch party for celebrities, influencers, retail partners, and media professioners, dubbed Fenty Club at WBar in Lagos.

The event was star-studded with actors, artistes, and social media influencers.

Nollywood actresses, Adunni Ade, Annie Idibia and Iyabo Ojo; media personality, Derenle Edun; BBNaija Pepper Dem winner, Mercy Eke; social media influencer, Priscilla Ojo; BBNaija Lockdown edition housemate, Erica Nlewedim, and many others were in attendance.

In videos making rounds on the Internet, attendees were allowed to sample the skincare products at the event.

Commenting on the momentous occasion, Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, said, “I am a proud Bajan who has a strong bond with Africa and its people. I’ve had the pleasure, the privilege, of spending time on the continent, and those memories will last a lifetime.

“It means so much to me now to be able to bring Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin to eight African countries, and hopefully more in the future.”

Across Africa, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin are now available at the following locations: South Africa, Arc Stores; Nigeria, Essenza Nigeria; Kenya, Lintons Beauty; Namibia, Edgars; Botswana, Edgars; Ghana, Essenza Ghana; Zambia, Color Café Zambia, and Zimbabwe, Catts.
