At the official presentation of former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as the running mate of the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Nigerians watched in amazement how individuals camouflaged as pastors and bishops showed up at the venue.
Shockingly, some changed to their fake robes in the reception area of the venue whereas others changed in the open field. Video footages and images show them changing into their acquired white and choir cassocks.
However, in a statement to clear the air and save face, the campaign’s Director of Media and Communication, Bayo Onanuga, claimed the bishops were neither hired nor fake as being speculated, but were upcoming men of God who were still building their ministries.
To sum up the comedy, a satirical phrase emanates that, “What APC Cannot Fake Does Not Exist.” There are also other memes lampooning the strange guests as “Unknown God Men” – another phrase derived from “Unknown Gunmen”.
