Anambra State Government has arrested and paraded over twenty -six persons suspected for touting and illegal revenue collection in Onitsha, Obosi and Nkpor.
The arrest which is spearheaded by the Managing Director,  Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere in conjunction with joint security agencies is in continuation of the state government’s efforts in ridding the state of all kinds of criminal elements and building a state that investor friendly.
Addressing the press during the parade, Comrade Anere revealed that the drive is geared towards achieving a livable and prosperous state hence the continuous raids on major flash points of the state and attempts to decongest roads.
He also said the agency will not relent in ensuring free flow of water through drainages across the state.
The OCHA Brigade who boss who spoke through the image maker of the agency, Anthony Agbaefune, pointed out that the enforcement team apprehended the suspects where they were  collecting tax returns from traders and motorists in Onitsha, Obosi and Nkpor metropolis and assured that the law will take it full course.
Some of the suspects, Nnamdi Ogidi, Uchenna Johnson and Mathew Nwali pleaded innocent of the allegation leveled against them and narrated how they were arrested doing their legitimate businesses and appealed to be release.
