A former Governor of defunct Gongola State, Ambassador Wilberforce Bafte Juta is dead.
Announcing the death of the elder statesman on his Facebook wall, Chief Timaus Mathias said Baba Juta has gone to be with the lord.
“The roll is called up yonder! The noble Baba Juta has gone to be with the Lord.
” The family and friends have announced. Rest in Peace pioneer. You soldiered to the end. Wear your crown of glory Sir,” he said.
Wilberforce Juta was Governor of Gongola State, Nigeria in 1983 during the Nigerian Second Republic, and later was appointed Nigerian High Commissioner to Zimbabwe.
