Southeast Governors on Sunday refused implementation of Inspector General of Police’s recent communication on the composition of Community Policing.

Gov. Umahi, chairman of the southeast governor’s forum, explained that the composition as directed by the IGP did not reflect the resolutions arrived at the Southeast geo-political zone security summit held in Enugu.

“We the Southeast Governors and leaders in the zone therefore request Mohammed Adamu, IGP to revert to our initial agreement reached on Community Policing at Enugu”.

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, other southeast    Governors and members of the airport committee for the progress so far.

“With the level of work done so far at the airport, we are hopeful that the Airport will re-open soonest; this however is subject to COVID-19 Federal Government directives” Umahi assured.
