Initially due for release in April, but has now been moved to November 25th, James Bond Movie ‘No Time to Die’ has been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak, producers announced on Twitter.

According to MGM which handles the domestic release, Universal which handles the international release and the Producers, Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the decision was taken after careful consideration of the global market. This makes the movie the first Hollywood film to shift its global rollout because of the coronavirus outbreak.

After careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the film would be postponed until November 2020.

When the disease began to spread, publicity tours for the movie, were canceled in China, South Korea and Japan.

The policy by many authorities aimed controlling the spread of the disease by limiting large public gatherings could affect the movie’s performance at the box office.

According to Comscore, the previous James Bond installment, “Spectre”, had over 78 percent of its $881 million box office revenue from international regions.

Cinemas are shut all over China. Many American movie production companies are suspending international production. For instance, Paramount Pictures has stopped production of Mission Impossible VII in Italy due to coronavirus.

Sony Pictures has also shut down its offices in Paris and Poland due to the fears of the infection spreading. Mulan, made by Disney is due to be released in March. While producers have not said anything, many are bracing for the announcement.
