In what could be seen as retaliation in response to terror group attack that killed 98 Chadian soldiers in Magumeri, a local government in the northern part of Borno, the Chadian troops dealt a major blow on Boko Haram insurgents.
Reports say that Chad destroyed five bases of the Boko Haram terror group.
The bases in Niger and Nigeria were destroyed as part of “Operation Boma’s Wrath,” according to Chad’s presidency who said operations against the terror group would continue without pause.
Nigerian soldiers in Boko Haram sect’s captivity were freed.
It was observed that the insurgents were fleeing while President Idriss Déby was seeing moving around in a chopper to monitor Boko Haram destruction.
Deby ordered the operation after the terror group killed over 90 soldiers in Boma nearly two weeks ago.
Chad, with the help of the Israeli Army, has mapped out the entire Lake Chad region containing both natural and artificial islands for the operation already yielding results.
The battle at Kelkoua, bank of the Lake Chad, saw the killing of many Boko Haram terrorists while bunkers hiding key commanders where discovered and destroyed.

Boko Haram Leader, Shekau Reacts, Challenges Chad To Battle
Meanwhile, leader of the deadly terrorist group, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau has in a now-viral audiotape challenged the people of Chad into battle following a victory recorded by the Chadian Army against the sect on Saturday.
In the audiotape obtained by this online news platform, Shekau was heard saying in the Hausa Language that people of Chad should vacate the land that their stay in the country is not approved by Prophet Muhammadu.
The statement reads: “People of Chad, leave us alone, this operation is not approved by the Qur’an. It is not the will of the Prophet Muhammed but if you want to continue, God will help us too because he is bigger than you.
“To my fighters, take heart. It is I, Abubakar Shekau, your leader.”
