Residents of Fufore town and it’s surrounding areas have again pleaded with the state government to as matter of urgency save their lives by rehabilitating their dilapidated cottage hospital.

Residents spoken to regrets that the health facility looks eyes sore.

“We need government intervention, the hospital is neglected and is becoming a death trap.

” The place is an eyesore, let’s the concern authorities come to our help,” said Maria Yohanna a female resident.

Also corroborating, Abubakar Gawi laments that the cottage needs urgent rehabilitation,” Is this a hospital or a death zone? This is the hidden place of reptiles, the government needs to do something to save us, we need urgent and rapid intervention.”

Gawi further accused local representatives in the area for keeping “siddon look, ” our representative in the government is also not helping matters.

“We have councilors, chairman, Commissioner, and members of the state and National Assembly that represents us.

“They ought to inform the state government on the dilapidated state of the cottage hospital but they refused!

” So we are pleading and begging with caps in hand to our amiable governor to rescue us by rehabilitating this cottage hospital,” he urges.

For Emmanuel Joseph Maxime, ” Most of our local government hospitals are like this.

“No facilities and instead of getting the cure, you get infected with another disease.

“The authority concern should swing into action immediately,” said he.

For now, efforts to get officials of the state Health Management board proved abortive as only level 14 staff were allowed to go to work and many offices remained shut due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

An impeccable source in the state House of Assembly had confirmed that “renovation of the said hospital has been captured in 2020 budget. Waiting for the funds release.”
