Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in a  Six-Man Tingno-Chobo Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the recent civil unrest in four communities of Tingnon Dutse, Tito, Sabon Layi and Bagasi in Lamurde Local Government Area.

Those sworn as members of the Tingno-Chobo probe panel include Justice Hafsatu Abdurrahman as Chairperson, while Barrister Aji Kamale, Akanmodu Abayomi, Professor Kalip Bulus Filli, Yakubu Sambo and Aliyu Mohammed will serve as members.

The governor enumerated among other terms of reference of Tingno-Chobo probe panel to include investigating the root causes of the unrest, establish persons responsible for the incidents and investigate and determine the role of security operatives during the crisis, among others.

Similarly, the governor also presided over the swearing-in of two State High Court Judges, Justice Kenson Lawson and Justice Musa Usman and directed the State Chief Judge to open court sessions in the state in line with the directive by the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Fintiri at a ceremony held in Government House, Yola reminded those sworn in on the sacredness of their oath.

He charged the two High Court Judges to ensure speedy dispensation of justice and described the Judicial Arm of government as respectful and knowledgeable, calling for energy between the bench and the bar for better service delivery.

In their separates vote of thanks on behalf of those sworn in, Justice Hafsatu Abdurrahman and Justice Kenson Lawson expressed gratitude to the Governor for finding them worthy of the appointment and promised to discharge their duties without fear or favour.
