NewsPeopleSAD NEWS: Adamawa Mourns Top Navy Commodore Habeeb

In an atmosphere of despair and agony people from all walks of life continued to troop into Mayo-Belwa town to mourn the demise of top military brass, Commodore Habib Usman, the Nigerian Navy’s Liaison Officer to the National Assembly passed away last week.

The late Navy’s Liason Officer is the son of late Ardo Mayo-Belwa, Ardo Usman, and rose to the rank of Navy Commodore (Brig. Gen) before he passed on Sunday afternoon.

In a condolence message, Senate Deputy Chairman Committee on Navy, Senator Ishaku Abbo condoled the people of Adamawa state more especially the good people of Mayo Belwa local government area for losing an illustrious son.

“Commodore Habeeb was at my house last Saturday, and he was full of life and laughter in his usual humble self.

“He spoke to us this morning and agreed to meet us this night. Unfortunately, death came and snatched him from us around 12 noon.

“Before his death, Commodore Habeeb was the Defence Liason Officer (DLO) to the National Assembly

“May God give his family the fortitude to bear this great loss.” Abbo mourned.

Also commiserating, former Senator Adamawa central and gubernatorial candidate of ADC,  in the last election Senator Abdul’Aziz Nyako  said, ‘’ Commodore Habib was an officer and gentlemen of exceptionally good character. He was always kind, mild, and considerate.  A good person to be around.

‘’My condolence to the bereaved family. May Allah forgive him and have mercy upon him. May He grant him Jannatul Firdaus.  Amin,’’ Nyako prayed.
