NewsNigeriaNigeria Customs Decorates 36 Promoted Officers in Adamawa Command

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), decorated 36 senior and junior newly promoted officers of the Adamawa/Taraba Command.

During the event, Mr Kamarudeen Olumoh, the Comptroller in charge of Adamawa/Taraba Command said that the promotion of the officers was based on merit, their track records of hard work, and dedication to the service.

” I want you to see the promotion as a stimulus and a form of an incentive for enhancing performances.

‘Also, it aims to encourage you to do more to justify the confidence reposed in you by the NCS,” Olumoh said.

On the novel coronavirus effects, Olumoh noted that COVID-19 pandemic has affected the national economy, adding that customs were the second major revenue source of the Federal Government after the oil sector.

The controller urged the officers to reciprocate government and dedicate themselves to duty for effective service delivery.

Also speaking, Mr. Mohammed Alhassan, the Controller, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), in charge of Adamawa, congratulated the service for promoting the officers.

Alhassan said that the officers should prepare for higher responsibility and put in more effort to achieve the goals of assigned tasks.

The promoted officers include a Deputy Comptroller of Customs (CC), two Assistant Comptrollers  (AC) and two Chief Superintendent (CSC) of customs.

Others are 12 Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC); 19 Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ACS I) and five Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ACS II).

Also elevated are three Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC), one Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC I), and two Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC II).
